After breakfast, visit the wonderful Semenggoh Orangutan Sanctuary as feeding time approaches. Enclosed in a large area of lush rainforest it is home to endangered Orangutans who have been rescued from captivity & are now part of a successful rehabilitation programme. In response to the calls of the resident park rangers during the scheduled feeding time, these amazing primates would descend from the canopy to the lower branches of trees, near the feeding area and offer us the chance to see them at fairly close quarters which for many is the wildlife highlight of their Borneo trip. After Semenggoh, continue your journey to Jong’s Crocodile Farm, the first & largest captive breeding crocodile farm in Malaysia.  Get to know the history and crocodile legends of Sarawak at the crocodile museum and see the skull of the notorious Bujang Senang, one of the largest crocodiles ever caught in Sarawak. After breakfast, we cross the river in our transfer vehicle to visit Fort Margherita, built by Charles Brooke in 1879 and named after his bride, Ranee Margaret. The fort’s cannons were trained on the river, both a traffic route and a possible source of an enemy attack. After substantial renovations, it is now a museum of Brooke memorabilia that has a fascinating overview of the white Rajah dynasty in a beautifully restored fort. Climb up to the roof of the old fort for a spectacular view of urban Kuching from the other side of the Sarawak River. The morning tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel.
