- Available on request for English / Malay / Mandarin Speaking tourist guides, but specific activities such as cycling tours and visits to the national park may only have English-speaking guides available.
- Your local guide(s) takes great pride in his or her heritage (as well as their own personal story) and are well informed in Borneo’s history, culture and natural wonders of the area where you are visiting / biking and are skilled at passing that knowledge on to you. For each tour, one passionate local English Speaking guide will serve up to a maximum of 6 – 8 guests depending on the nature of each tour.

Explore the Main Bazaar in the picturesque old town, and stop at the square tower at the ‘stone jetty’. In the early days of the Brooke Rajah, this fort and a nearby courthouse were the full extent of the government buildings. Winding through the heart of the city with your guide, look out for the majestic Astana, the former palace of the White Rajahs, now the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak. Enclosed in a large area of lush rainforest it is home to endangered Orangutans who have been rescued from captivity & are now part of a successful rehabilitation programme. In response to the calls of the resident park rangers during the scheduled feeding time, these amazing primates would descend from the canopy to the lower branches of trees, near the feeding area and offer us the chance to see them at fairly close quarters which for many is the wildlife highlight of their Borneo trip.
